Records and work orders
Information in one place, agreed statuses and a clear view of what has been received, is in progress or is complete.
When information is scattered across spreadsheets and messages, everyday tasks take more effort. We work through which steps an application could bring together and what would make the work easier.
Fictional data illustrates an application idea. This is not an active business system.
Who receives a request? Where is the information entered? Who can see and change it? What happens when an entry is wrong? These are the questions we start with.
We combine knowledge of economics and finance with software development to understand your processes, data and priorities. Then we agree an initial scope that makes sense for your team.
We choose functionality around the task at hand.
Not every application needs everything listed here. The proposal states which functions are included in your project.

Data transfers between applications where a technical connection is available. Before quoting, we review the documentation, access requirements and limitations.
In the prototype, we review screens, data entry and the proposed workflow. We agree business rules and the information needed from the outset.
After approval, we develop data storage and processing, user permissions and the other agreed functions. We also check what happens when information is missing, a user lacks permission or an error occurs.

After our first conversation, we prepare a proposal and quote that explain what we will deliver at each stage and how we will check it before moving on. Work outside that scope needs a separate agreement.

You can use another hosting provider or continue development with another contractor. The contract sets out code handover, rights to use and modify it, and the instructions required.
