On our
server
For websites suited to sharing a server with other websites.
- Website hosting and SSL
- Care for the server environment
- Backups and retention according to the agreed plan
- Separate access to each project
Hosting provides the server environment, technical maintenance looks after the software, and improvements change its content or functions. These are three separate services: we agree what we take on and show each item in the monthly statement.
Hosting provides a home for the website or application and care for the server environment. We agree capacity, SSL and how backups are created and retained.
Technical maintenance covers agreed checks of the website or application itself, necessary code and dependency updates, and support. Creating a backup is different from checking that the data can be restored.
Improvements are content changes, new pages and functionality. You approve an estimate before work begins, and completed work appears on the monthly invoice. We can agree a regular monthly allocation of hours separately.
What does an example quote look like?Websites can use either model.
We host web applications on a separate instance.

A separate server environment for your project. We use this model exclusively for web applications.
A VPS is a rented virtual server instance. Before starting, we establish who holds the rental agreement, capacity, data location, access and the backup plan. The quote confirms prices; technical maintenance of application code, improvements, the domain, business email and paid external services are charged separately. Project isolation also includes access, data and backup settings.
A website or application runs on a server and may use other services, such as email delivery. These need attention and maintenance according to an agreed plan.
We agree which checks and backups are included, when backups are made and how to report an issue. The support arrangement states the expected response times.
As agreed, we check website availability, important functions and inquiry delivery. For applications, we define which workflows need regular checks.
We plan technical updates and backups. Frequency, retention and the restore process depend on the type of data and the project's needs.
We agree the reporting channel, priorities and expected response times. The basic monthly amount does not imply continuous on-call cover or unlimited work.
We assess new content, additional pages and functionality separately. Before starting, we agree scope, price and timing.
You may need a new service on the website, a different form or an additional report in an application. We review the request first and agree an estimate.
For smaller improvements, the indicative hourly rate is €60 excluding VAT. You approve an estimate before work begins, and we invoice completed work monthly. We agree larger changes as a separate project or development stage.
Tell us what needs to changeHosting is the space and infrastructure on which the website runs. Maintenance is agreed work on checks, updates and support. We show them separately in the quote so you know what you are paying for.
No. You can arrange hosting and maintenance with another provider. At handover, you receive the agreed code, access and instructions, and we agree who takes responsibility for updates, backups and responding to issues. See what handover includes.
We first need to review the technology, code, access and current condition. Only then can we confirm whether we can take on maintenance and on what terms.
No. We do not offer advertising or campaign management. Our work is technical implementation, maintenance and agreed improvements to websites and applications.
Once monitoring is established, we can send an automatic monthly report by email. It summarizes availability, recorded issues, backup status and completed work.
We track the checks internally and send you a summary that does not require technical knowledge. We agree separately how you are notified of more significant issues.
We also state what has not been checked. A successfully created backup, for example, is not the same as a verified restore.
