About IT Officium

IT Officium builds websites and business web applications. We combine knowledge of economics, finance and software development, and start with how your business works and what your clients need.

For a website, we work through what your clients need to understand and how to make contact. For an application, we look at the tasks, information and decisions involved in everyday work. That helps us suggest what is needed now and what can wait.

OUR FIRST CONVERSATION

Before we build,
we want to understand each other.

You do not need a finished technical specification. Start by describing what you would like to do, what takes up time today or why you are considering a change.

We ask questions, review examples and suggest solutions. If we think something can be simpler or an additional cost is not justified yet, we will say so. We want you to understand our proposal and know what to expect before making a decision.

DURING DEVELOPMENT

Throughout the project,
we keep talking.

We prepare our first proposal as an interactive prototype. You can open it, review the content and try how the website or application should work. That gives us something concrete to discuss and helps us identify changes in time.

Once we agree the proposal, we develop the project in smaller stages, with clear tasks and responsibilities. You review progress, raise questions and agree the next steps with us.

How the development process works
DOCUMENTATION AND COSTS

Clear agreements,
no hidden costs.

The proposal separates development from hosting, maintenance and external services, so you can see the initial price and any recurring costs. It states what is included and what needs a separate agreement before work begins.

If you would like to add or change something during the project, we first estimate the work and its effect on price and timing. Additional work begins only after your approval.

We record the scope, decisions and approved changes, and keep you informed of progress. You can use that record to check the work against the proposal and understand the items in the invoice.

AFTER LAUNCH

We also think about
what comes after launch.

Someone will use, maintain and eventually improve the website or application. During development, we therefore pay attention to clear code, reliable operation and the ability to make further changes.

We can continue with hosting, maintenance and improvements after launch, with those services agreed separately. At handover, you receive the code, access and instructions agreed for your project. You choose whether to continue with us or another contractor.

Throughout the project, we want you to have someone you can ask questions and receive clear answers from. That is the relationship on which we want to build long-term collaboration.
